{Synopsis} – First-time mom Kate Connelly is bringing up baby- and bringing down a killer.

Kate Connelly may have found the perfect work-from-home Mommy job: private investigator. After all, the hours are flexible, she can bring the baby along on stake-outs, and if you’re going to be up all night anyway, you might as well solve some crimes. But when a body is pulled from San Francisco Bay that may be her brother-in-law, Kate must crack the case faster than you can say “diaper rash” in order to keep her family together.

{My thoughts} – Kate is a new mom that dreads going back to work once her maternity leave is over. In order to keep her mind busy she decides to pretend to be a private eye. She takes on a case. Surprisingly she is able to keep her mind clear and solve it, with all the baby distractions and knowing that the case hits close to home.

I really enjoyed reading this book. It helps to show that being a mom isn’t something that can really hold you back if you choice to do better for yourself. The harder you work for something the more rewarding and satisfying it can be in the end.

I think any mom or individual that enjoys books with babies and mysteries, will find this book a nice fast and entertaining read. I look forward to reading more books in this series in the future.
