Red Riding Hood might have a terrible sense of direction, but her grimmtastic friends are always there to help!

Once upon a time, in faraway Grimmlandia...

Red Riding Hood is thrilled to try out for the school play. Acting is her dream, and she's great at it--too bad she has stage fright! After a grimmiserable audition, Red decides to focus on helping her friends Cinda, Snow, and Rapunzel save Grimm Academy from the E.V.I.L. Society. But when Red gets lost in Neverwood forest and runs into Wolfgang, who might be part of E.V.I.L., she needs her magic basket and a grimmazingly dramatic performance to figure out what's going on!

{My Thoughts} – Red Riding Hood is on a quest to land the lead in a play that is taking place in Grimmlandia. Red Riding Hood has a stage fright issue and Wolfgang another student attending the Academy with her, helps her to find ways to overcome it. During her first audition she faints and then acquires a nice new basket which turns out to be her charm, the only other person she knows that has gotten their charm is Cinder one of her BFF’s.

Aside from the play auditions, Red, Cinder, Rapunzel and Snow all are trying to figure out why the mapestry they they found during Prince Awesomeness’s ball is showing them X’s and just what those X’s might lead to. Currently it is leading them to a place in the Neverwood Forest, which the girls believe is Grandmother Enchantress’s cottage, they also think that they just might find some hidden treasure while they are there. On the way to the cottage the Red seems to get separated from the other girls and ends up losing her way to the cottage until Wolfgang locates her.

They are also trying to still determine who among those they know are members of the E.V.I.L. group that they have been so often warned against. Wolfgang even manages to make Red think it is possible that Snow is a member of that group.

I really enjoy seeing the fairy-tale tie ins in this series. In this book Peter Peter Pumpkin Eater, Jack and Jill, Hansel & Gretel, Rapunzel, Snow White and Little Red Riding Hood are tied into the main story of the book flawlessly. If you enjoy fairy-tales, nursery rhymes and other stories of the sort, I am certain you will enjoy this series. I can’t wait to read more of it!
