This is a photo I had taken of my very first hairless rat with my new camera at the time. It had been taken in 2009. Obviously with a point and shoot camera, but I loved it so much that I kept the photo!

When did you start blogging?
I have been blogging and or writing in online journals since 2000. It was mostly about my life and my day to day routines.

What is your favorite part of book blogging?
I enjoy writing about books because I like being able to share with others the things that I am most interested in. I know that I may not always like the books I read and that others may like those books, but this is a good way to say with others how I feel about a book and in return they can share with me how they feel about a book.

What are some of your favorite books?
I would have to say that my favorite book series is {the last vampire: christopher pike} and my favorite books is {dicey's song: cynthia voigt}.

What would the perfect vacation spot to catch on on reading and relax be?
I think that the perfect vacation spot to brush up on my reading is anywhere that I can relax, have some quiet time and get completely lost in the book I am reading. I love to read and can get lost in a book in almost any setting, but I find it easier to enjoy a book the quieter that it is. I often wish I had my own personal space that I could go off into and sit and read, I know realistically with three small children at home that isn't a likely scenario so I usually sit on the couch while I watch them play. Whatever, works right?

{my thoughts} - I have to admit that after watching the tv series this was not what I had expected. I did enjoy reading it though, I apologize for it taking me so long to complete, I think I fell into some kind of a funk.

This books is about two identical twin sisters that are separated as young children. One is raised by an adoptive family and the other is raised by their biological mother up until the mother drops off the radar and she ends up in foster care. They locate each other and correspond over the computer and through the phone and then decide to meet. The problem however is that they aren't able to meet because the twin that had been adopted is dead and the story is written from here point of view from beyond the grave - or so to speak. That leaves it the job and obligation of the other twin to discover who killed her, why and what happened to her with little to no help. It's got a good plot, nice mystery and its full of surprises. It is interesting to watch the one girl mold herself into her twin or attempt to in order to become her twin in a sense so that no one will discover that the other girl is missing. However, it leads her down a path that she isn't ready to travel and it makes her rethink why she is there taking part in such a disaster, but then she remembers that she was cheated out of getting to know her sister so now she wants to do what she can in order to find out what happened. She learns that she has no real allies in this quest and those that she didn't think she could trust she can and those that she thought she should trust she can't. Its a huge web of lying, deceit and misconception that in the end will hopefully lead to some answers and the truth of what happened to her sister.

{reason for reading} - I read it because I likes the {pretty little liars} series. I like how when books are turned into shows or movies how they are changed so much that it gives you a different take on the story and so far I like the take on this story as it makes sense and it is entertaining to read. It seems to be bringing back my passion to reading mysteries.

{it's monday}

It's Monday! What are you reading? - Hosted By: Book Journey

I'm currently reading {the lying game} by {sara shepard}.

I started reading it because I had watched the television series on {abc family} and it made me want to know more about it. This book is completely different in comparison to the television program. If you like a good twist just like {pretty little liars} you will probably enjoy this book as well.

{my thoughts} - This book summed up the entire series in a sense. I wasn't pleased with the different point of views in which it had been written. It had switched from Janie, Reeve and Brian throughout the book which was more then annoying in my honest opinion. I was actually rather surprised at what she had found but even more surprised that she and Reeve had gotten back together after the last book. I also couldn't believe how well both families were getting along that they allowed their non-kidnapped children the right to spend as much time as they wanted at the Johnson's house. If I were the Springs I would never be able to allow the kidnappers by proxy anywhere's near the children I had been able to raise. It just seems wrong to me and there Brian was spending the whole summer at the Johnson's I don't get how the Spring's went from overprotective to just about not caring at all. But it is a book and it looks like it was meant to end happily ever after and sometimes happily ever afters are far to forced for them to make any real sense.

{reason for reading} - I wanted to complete the series. It wasn't as good as the other books but was worth getting to know the conclusion of the storyline.

{my thoguhts} - This book covers what happens after Reeve goes off to college and Janie went back to live with the Johnson's. She decided to work things out with the Spring's and she finally realizes that things are okay and she has enough love to go around. Jodie makes a trip to look at colleges in Boston and Janie tags along. They discover that Reeve isn't the person they had thought he was in fact they discover he's a jerk. And Janie finally comes to terms with having four parents that she can love them each and not be a bad daughter by showing them all how she actually feels.

{reason for reading} - I had read the first two and now I am trying to complete the series. So far so good since I didn't know this and the last book had existed. I suppose it happens. But it is a nice little series.
